After much persuasion, GT has finally decided to let go of his much coveted Omega Montreal Olympic watch set. We had just listed it on eBay.

Yes, I do attest. In spite of working late, hubby is diligently writing out one or two watch descriptions every few nights.

We both kind of agreed that we would work on a fortnightly schedule and see how it goes. It's the listing, following up for payment and item shipping etc. Perhaps once we move to our own apartment, things would fall into place.

And yes, there are some new items on the site now --> Go check out our listings.

It's the first lot where there is no Omegas at all.

We've been so overwhelmed by the frantic activities that listing took a back burner.
Until lately, the amateur photographer (*moi*) decides that it's time.

So yesterday noon, we spent 2 hours doing the photography, photo-transferring (our digital camera is 4 yr old, so no drag and drop), cropping, description typing and layout etc.

It's just one of those things that you block your time off to do. And this piece seems likely to do well (or so we hope). Anyone looking at replacing their first generation Omega divers 300 backcase and bezel?

This new year welcoming is dampened by the tsunami crisis that has caught the world off guard. Perhaps becoz it has happened in Asia, it has brought closer to home the aftermath of the destructions and how lives will be changed forever.

Scary huh?

On the watch collecting sidenote, the new year has been a slow start. We are doing preparations and hopefully listing can resume by next week!

Yup, the momentum slows down towards year end. Perhaps it has to do with the festivity, or that people are listing less watches. *Or* it could be the fear of losing the items in the mail.

So we haven't been listing much watches since the last lot.

We'll resume our activities in January, hopefully.

Our ebay auctions are finally over!

Yup....we are taking a break for a while and do a stock-take. After that, we will probably resume listing but it wouldn't be until end Nov. But then, I would be worrying about whether the Dec Xmas holidays would delay the air-traffic for mailing a long time. That wouldn't be too good, isn't it?

Just getting things all started and set up... I had the digital camera software re-installed in the PC. By this coming weekend, there should be pictures of our watch piece finds (the latest but not forgetting the old) being posted*.

The latest talk in town for watch collector: Tempus
Is anyone coming to the Tempus event in Singapore? Both my wife and I received the invitations to the event. But what the heck, it is open to the public too. My wife read in the newspapers there are some talk seminars on watch-collecting that might be interesting to attend.

Got on the site but all the sessions are fully booked! (Well, almost except for 2.)
Guess we will just go "oohhing and wahhing" on the watches on display then.

* Assuming if my wife is up for the idea of spending her time to photographing the watches.
